Biovore - Assimilate with us

It was originally thought that it was best to deal with Tyranids at a distance; fighting them off using powerful artillery and picking off their squads one by one until the rest could be mopped up by the Space Marines. However, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Such was the case when the first Biovore showed up, its towering mass holding up powerful biological cannons that could launch huge Spore Mines at forces resisting the Hive Fleet. Whole squads of Marines can be killed in an instant, and tanks and artillery vehicles can slow to a standstill as the monstrous beasts launch their fragmentation mines onto the battlefield. Though a minor threat in itself compared to the mighty Carnifex or the terrifying Hive Tyrants, they are still a tough obstacle when it comes to surviving a Swarm. It is theorized that these beasts were the result of genetic manipulation with Ork DNA, but the men who came up with that were the same ones that came up with the idea that Hive Guards were built out of Space Marine DNA, and as such was scrapped.

Okay, after the Lictor, it didn't take long for me to start building a whole incursion of Tyranids. The Biovore came next, and was pretty decent considering the fact that I had nothing but a pic of the actual model to go with as inspiration. Like all of my models, everything works properly...but it is a hell of a job trying to get the posability to work. Sheesh!
