Insectora Redesigns - Red Ant Nurse

Thanks to the suggestions of friends, Insectora models are getting a redesign; the polygon count has been reduced, the legs are rebuilt, and each individual model now has something unique to give them that special edge that previous models lacked. This is Insectora - and this is war...

Formica, or Red Ants, are among the most common ants in the world. Mostly found in nests of wood such as fallen logs, Red Ants are known for a biological advantage; a chemical weapon, Formic Acid. One spray can stun large attackers, and is all but lethal to enemy insects. In Insectora, this faction takes advantage of this lethal weapon; all attack units save the Soldier Ant can use Formic Acid to some degree.

Battles can tear armies apart, but there are survivors sometimes. When a raid fails and the enemy prepare themselves for a counter-attack, rebuilding one's forces can take vital time that is otherwise unavailable. It is often cheaper to heal one's wounds after battle than simply start over again from scratch, and that's what the Nurse class is for. Grouped together in threes, these ants serve the colony by gluing shut cracks and chinks in the armor of soldiers, and also by repairing structures that they are garrisoned within. Guerilla Warfare quickly become a war of attrition when Nurses are on the battlefield...
