Year 11,076 of the Kingdom of Men
Jormungand Sector, Sindaris Ultima

A horde of Orc invaders have come to Sindaris Ultima in an attempt to overtake the once quiet colony of Elves sitting there.  In the past, Orcish Freebooters have often surveyed this world in an attempt to see whether or not it was worth eliminating, for the Elves and Orcs both have been mortal enemies.  Now the Orcs have deemed the colony worthy to strike, and to kill the Elves for them is perhaps far sweeter than any great war with a dozen Kingdom worlds.
Unfortunately for them, they chose to mess with the Elves.  It was a big mistake, and the Warband's last.
As the Orc Warboss commanded his Crashyboats to land upon the planet's surface, he pushed his Mekgineers to build his Freebooters a base just a few miles from the main Elven encampment.  The Orcs, though stupid as a racial whole, are legendary for their capability of converting scrap metal and anything else that is trash into some of the most dangerous vehicles ever seen in the galaxy.  With their Redkap servants to help them, leading to a few casualties for the smaller Orcish creatures, a base of operations was built for the Orcs and the beginnings of a new War had begun.
The Orcs quickly rushed into the fray.  Their forces savagely destroyed any buildings they could find; killing many in their mad attempt at slaying the Elves.  The few poor souls upon that place was not enough to sate their bloodlust as the Orc Boys used  their Choppy axes and Smashy clubs to grind their bodies to a pulp, but it did not matter to the Orcs.  They were merely upset that they could not get at more of our allies.
What they didn't realize was that the Elves were watching them from afar.  Áshari Aspect Warriors, the true sharpshooters of the Elves and worshippers of the goddess of beauty and the senses, sighted the entire massacre from at least five miles away and reported it to their commander, an Elven Seer.  The Seer made a command decision; no Orc was to leave Sindaris alive.
The Elven Rangers were the first to enter the fray.  Exiles of Áshara, the former Elven homeworld that had been consumed by Fallen Kingdom forces, the Rangers are sharpshooters that take out enemy targets from afar using their powerful Falcon Rifles.  While not as specialized or skilled as the Áshari Warriors, they are no less prized for their skill as the sharpshooter, and their numbers are valued greatly by Elven armies.
As the Rangers picked off Orcs one by one, the confused barbarians had no clue where to fire their guns.  Shrieking wildly and launching bullets everywhere that there was movement, they were clueless as to where the new foe lay waiting.
The first to the fray were the Roshari Aspect Warriors; the Dragonfires.  Servants of Mikael, the Elven god of war, courage, and valor, the Roshari Warriors fired upon the enemy with powerful close-range weapons and with deadly swords bathed in eternal flame.  The first of the Orcs; those few Boys wishing to prove themselves in battle; were the first to meet their end at the monstrous flames of the Dragonfires' weapons.
The Orcs were not willing to run off, however, and there were more than enough of them to pick a fight with the vastly outnumbered Elves.  But their attacks would soon be countered savagely by their assailants, as the Elven Eagle Warriors poured out of the forest.  Servants of the Allfather, the Elven lore equivalent of the Maker, these mighty warriors stood fast against the foe and launched the power of their Aval Rifles and their mighty Serashar Swords.  Even though the Orcs succeeded in slaying several of the Elves, their losses were far greater.
The Orc Warboss quickly entered into the fray, slaying Elf after Elf that got in his way.  Although the Eagle Warriors knew better than to remain near his powerful Crusha hammer, the Warboss was often too fast even for their swift feet, and many were slain by his hand, with even more among the wounded.  To answer to this, the Elven War Phoenix, their greatest fighter and champion of their warhost, quickly charged ahead to fight him in single combat.  Witnessed by both armies, the War Phoenix fought the Warboss easily, and slayed him honorably regardless of how he did not deserve it.
The Orcs quickly ran.  Gathered under the command of their Bloody Shaman, the Orcs retreated back to their base.  However, the Elves released a detonation charge of plasma, cutting off half of their troops.  While half of the Orc army made its way back to the Orc base and the ruined Crashyboats, the rest faced certain death as the Woshari Aspect Warriors, worshipers of Azarael, the god of death, fired with their powerful heavy weapons to slay the foe.  Regardless of armor, rank, or number, the Orcs were brutally murdered in the most ruthless way possible.
As the Orc Shaman and his forces began to shabbily transform the Crashyboats using what remained of their Mekgineers, the Elves made their way around the trap they formed and prepared their forces to partake in a deadly pincer maneuver.  From the north, the Elves sent half of their Eagle Warriors along with their Woshari Aspect Warriors and a Shiruken Battle Platform, while in the west they sent in their Leshari Masked Troopers, servants of the god of love and laughter, Chamael, as well as Xudjo Ghostguards and the rest of their Eagle Warriors.
When the final charge came, the enraged Elves were led by none other than their swift-of-foot Kashari Aspect Warriors; the Hare Runners.  Worshippers of Gabrael, god of swiftness and cunning as well as the patron spirit of messengers, the Kashari rushed into the fray as if they were flying over the ground and not leaving their feet upon the dirt for more than a tiny fraction of a second.  These swift warriors were followed close behind by a powerful Grovaran Hawk Gunship; its passenger seats filled by an entire squadron of Roshari Aspect Warriors.  As the Hare Runners sliced through the foe with sword and spear, the gunship flew overhead and the Dragonfires let loose their mighty flames upon the foe, sending almost the entire Orc Warband ablaze.  While many of the Orcs attempted to escape, the way out was guarded fiercely by the robotic Ghostguard.  Mighty robots crafted through the magical powers of the Elves with the bones and souls of fallen Elves bonded within, the machines stood fearlessly and drove the enemy back.  The Elven Magi guiding these powerful beings ensured that none escaped by casting powerful spells of fire and ice unto the foe, further annihilating the enemy.
Soon only the Shaman was left.  In a last ditched attempt by the foolish Orc, he offered himself and the bodies of his fellow Orcs as a sacrifice to Zarkros, summoning a monstrous demon from the Gap Between Dimensions.  The summoning process was over before it started, for the Elven Seer foresaw this event and acted accordingly, and with the aid of their finest Elven warrior they summoned their ultimate weapon…the Avatar of Mikael, the god of war.
Inquisition vessels watched from afar as the mighty avatar of the king of angels flew across the battlefield; his face covered in shadow whilst his eyes burned brightly like a pair of dying stars.  His wings were covered in the colors of fire and his body glistened as his armor burned in the planet's sky.  His twin swords, representing Justice and Valor, burned aflame as the mighty angelic being rushed head on towards the monstrous demon and began to hack it apart.  The demon did not stand a chance as the Avatar of Mikael devastated it; completely obliterating its very soulform and sending its charred and battered remains back into the oblivion from whence it came.
As the Elves and their victorious warhost prepared for their great ceremony of the fallen, the Inquisition felt it best not to make themselves known; they may have already been spotted by the Elven Magi and their Seer regardless.  The lesson learned by those who witnessed the bloodbath was a simple one…never anger the Elves…

The Lament of Sindaris Ultima

Here's the second story. It features the Elves and some of their powerful Aspect Warriors; warriors that worship one of the seven gods of the pantheon of the Elves (which happen to be the Archangels of the human religion of the Maker). The Elven religion helped to inspire mankind's own religion and has many similarities, including sharing an all-creator known as the Allfather; the one responsible for the creation of the universe as well as the creation of the Elven pantheon. I'll do something that features the Elf pantheon in the future, though for now I'll leave you guys with this bit (btw, the similarity between the names of the Elven gods and with some of the Archangels of christiantiy is intentional, but I want to clarify that they are not one and the same. The appearances given to these individuals are for the sake of this story and are not meant to put down the angels or distort their appearance in any way.

Great story.

I do like how you incorporate theology into these. I prefer this to the pseudo-religious ideas of Warhammer 40k.
