Dead Space: Shadows

This, along with my other Dead Space Shadows deviation, has become my most popular deviation to date. I would like to let everyone know, as of today, I'm not currently writing or planning on writing Dead Space: Shadows until further notice. That doesn't mean it won't happen, but it does mean that you probably shouldn't expect it anytime this year (I might be nice and post what I currently have written this Halloween, but that would probably mean all the more that I'll take longer to write it).

I really appreciate the favs and the views, but if you happen to stumble upon this I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to look at my other stuff that I'm working on. Thanks for your time.

So, the secret is out. Here's some promotional artwork for a little project I'm working on in my spare time. With my mind having difficulty keeping interested in my current projects, I felt that it would be a good idea to start something new just to keep my mind focused upon writing...

Anyway, Dead Space Shadows is a prequel fanfic of none other than EA's popular game called Dead Space. Taking place roughly around the time of Dead Space Extraction, Shadows is the story of a young man named David Payton, one of the few Catholics left in existence after the Unitology craze 200 years earlier, as he and a group of survivors escapes the Aegis VII colony during the Necromorph attack. Stuck aboard the USG Ishimura, the survivors are picked off one by one in attacks from Necromorphs, fellow survivors, and each other until finally they find and repair a shuttle that they use to escape the Ishimura once and for all.

This story is going to have some backstory about the Necromorphs and the story of Dead Space Extraction, such as how the Necromorphs managed to develop just a week after the Marker was extracted, the Hive Mind's influence upon the mental dementia the colonists were facing, and the reason why Lexine Murdoch from Extraction is immune to it. So far, I'm working on a big introduction, but there's only going to be a total of about 9 chapters (introduction not included) in the story. I'm probably not going to update it very often, but the story will be big enough that it'll certainly keep people entertained while it's posted. I'll be posting it both here on DeviantART (in parts so that it doesn't get too big) and on Fanfiction.net (in its unaltered form)...

Edit: Dear lord...this has got to be my most popular deviant, and it's just a poster for a project that hasn't even started yet! This makes me kind of upset that most of my stuff is Zelda and yet more people like the few Dead Space items I've put up...lol.
